Carloandrés Foundation

The  Carloandrés Foundation constituted in Ibiza, at initiative of his viuda Conception Tracked and of his heirs,  the February 18, 2019. Fruit of the desire of the artist Carloandrés (Sada, A Coruña 1926 – Ibiza, Balearic Islands 2018) to bequeath part of his collection of paintings at the City where lived since 1958, as well as to collaborate at the memory and the survey of the painting and the painters in the Ibiza of the 20th century.The Patronat of the Foundation is formed by familiar and friends of the artist, and contemplates the presence of representatives of the Government of the Balearic Islands, of the City council of Ibiza, of the City council of Morella and of the Council of Ibiza.The Foundation has two principal aims: on the one hand preserve, exhibit and spread the pictorial work of Carloandrés and of other the promotion, the survey and the diffusion of the painting eivissenca of the 20th century, at all his aspects and variants. The headquarters of the Foundation Carloandrés occupies his survey in Ibiza, place where custodia an important part of his pictorial legate, as well as his archive and library.

Biographical note Carloandrés

LOPEZ DEL REY, Carlos Andrés. Painter born to Sada (A Corunya) in 1926. Trained at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Madrid) and that of Sant Carles (Valencia). The artists that most influenced his artistic training were Vázquez Díaz, Benedito, Miquel Villà  and Morandi. Professor at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts of Ibiza, where he has resided since 1958, his painting, both in landscapes and portraits, is part of realism. His first individual exhibition took place in Valencia in 1948. In Palma, he exhibited to Danús Galleries in 1962. Subsequently, you do it to the Galleries Costa (1965), to the Circle of Fine Arts (1966-67-68  and 1972), to the J. Blanes Gallery (1973-74 and 75), Byblos (1978), again Danús (1979-80 and 81), in the Nadal Gallery (1983) and in the Horrach Moyà Gallery (1991) In addition to numerous exhibitions held in Ibiza has exhibited in Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, Madrid, in Neuchatel and Lavaux (Switzerland). Among the awards obtained include, among others, the Molina Higueras of the Royal Academy of San Fernando and the Diploma of Merit of the same Academy. He signs his works: “Carloandrés”
